What We Do
Truewind is the digital accountant for modern accounting teams. We use AI agents to help startups, growing businesses, and accounting firms close faster, reduce manual work, and deliver clean, investor-ready financials.
Truewind is built for the messy, high-volume parts of accounting - like Point of Sale tie-outs, payroll accruals, donations/revenue schedules, fixed assets & prepaids rollforwards, and field-services revenue recognition - and turns them into reliable workflows without spreadsheet chaos.
We're a YC company and have raised a $13M Series A co-led by Rho Capital and Thomson Reuters Ventures (with Pathlight Ventures, Fin Capital, and Y Combinator participating), bringing total funding to $17M+.
Who We Are
Truewind is a fast-moving, thoughtful team built around ownership, impact, and solving problems that matter.
We collaborate closely in San Francisco from our office at 577 2nd St, and what matters most is that we execute and deliver outcomes for customers.
We are looking for...
We're hiring an Account Executive to help bring Truewind to finance teams and accounting firms that are still buried in manual close work. This role is for someone who likes understanding how a finance team actually operates, mapping pain to ROI, and helping buyers build conviction around change.
You'll work directly with controllers, CFOs, heads of finance, and accounting-firm leaders. The motion is hands-on, full-cycle, and built for someone who wants to help shape the playbook while executing it.
We're still a small team, which means this role comes with real impact and real say. You won't be dropped into a rigid machine. Your judgment, feedback, and execution will help shape how Truewind sells and who we become as a go-to-market team.
The right person for this role is commercially sharp, operationally credible, and comfortable selling into buyers who expect substance. You should enjoy deals that require real discovery, clear follow-through, and thoughtful multi-threading rather than surface-level enthusiasm.
You'll likely succeed here if you enjoy building while things are still taking shape, want the chance to become a sales leader over time, or are motivated by growing into larger, more strategic accounts with real earnings upside tied to performance.
Being an Account Executive at Truewind means you...
- Manage the full sales cycle across inbound, outbound, discovery, evaluation, and close
- Manage inbound leads with urgency, judgment, and clear qualification standards
- Generate pipeline through thoughtful outbound, account research, and disciplined follow-up
- Build relationships with controllers, CFOs, heads of finance, and accounting-firm leaders
- Manage multiple stakeholders across finance, accounting, and firm leadership throughout the deal
- Run strong discovery to understand close workflows, systems, pain points, and urgency
- Translate operational pain into a clear business case for adopting Truewind
- Partner with our accounting and product teams to drive evaluations and implementation confidence
- Maintain disciplined pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and follow-through from first meeting to close
- Help improve messaging, qualification, objections, and the broader sales motion over time
What we need...
- 3+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in B2B SaaS or a similar consultative environment
- Comfort closing deals with ACVs in the $40,000-$70,000 range as well as $100,000+ opportunities
- Strong track record of owning deals end to end, not just one part of the process
- Comfort selling to practical, detail-oriented buyers who care more about substance than theater
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and keep momentum through a consultative buying process
- Confidence working deals that mix inbound demand with self-generated pipeline
- High ownership, clear judgment, and strong follow-through
- Comfort using AI and modern sales tools as leverage to move faster and work better
- Comfort operating with ownership and pace in a remote environment
Experience selling to CFOs, controllers, accounting firms, or finance operations teams is a plus. Experience selling workflow, ERP, accounting, FP&A, or office-of-the-CFO software is also helpful, but not required.
If you don't meet every qualification above but believe you'll succeed in this role, we encourage you to apply anyway.
What we offer
- $160,000-$240,000 OTE target cash compensation with uncapped commission
- Equity in a fast-growing startup
- Remote role with flexibility to work where you do your best work
- Direct exposure to founders, product decisions, and customer feedback
- The chance to shape the playbook as we grow
Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and scope of the role. In exceptional cases, offers may fall outside this range.
This role is for someone who wants real responsibility, a steep learning curve, and the chance to sell a product that solves painful operational problems for finance teams. If that sounds energizing, please apply.
